WAXX Underwear have announced they will donate 100% profit from their Orange underwear sales to Myeloma UK from both wholesale and retail customers. The collection of four Orange items include mens Rock boxers, mens one size sports boxers and a women’s Rock cami and shorty set to match the signature Orange Myeloma logo.
This is a charity close to the heart of WAXX UK, as company director Jaqui Copley was recently diagnosed with Myeloma and with the support of family and friends has endeavoured to raise £25,000 for the worthy cause. As well as completing a charity run and planning a charity ball for 2015, Orange wristbands have been designed to raise awareness for the charity, available to purchase on the WAXX website. Donations are also welcomed on the Just Giving page.
Myeloma is a cancer of plasma cells in the bone marrow but unlike most cancers, is not apparent through lumps or tumours, showing itself through pain in multiple bones of the body instead. Myeloma UK are the only charity in the UK working exclusively with myeloma – they receive no government funding and rely almost entirely on voluntary donations and fundraising activities.
