Hanro of Switzerland celebrated their 130th anniversary with an art exhibition highlighting the brand’s most iconic moments throughout their history. The exhibition titled “130 Years of Dressing The Most Seductive Women” was kicked off with a VIP event hosted by actress Melissa George and model/food blogger Elettra Wiedemann at the flagship store in New York City’s Meatpacking District.
The illustrations by artists from all over the world feature Hanro’s most memorable pop culture moments. These include the iconic scene in The Seven Year Itch’s iconic where Marilyn Monroe’s skirt billows up to reveal her Hanro underwear to Nicole Kidman’s seductive turn in Eyes Wide Shut wearing little more than a Hanro camisole.
Following the in-store party, an exclusive VIP dinner was held at the penthouse suite of the famed Gramercy Park Hotel hosted by Hanro’s Managing Director Stephan Hohmann and President Jan Snodgrass. At the cocktail hour, guest enjoyed a private viewing of historic pieces from the brand’s archive.
