PURE LONDON revealed its new vision for the Exhibition running at Olympia until 6th August. Two key industry figures, Julie Driscoll (Portfolio Director) and Louise Young (MD of Retail at i2i Group) have spent the last 6 months researching what new directions both brands and key buyers at Pure London would like to see. Julie Driscoll commented to Underlines:

“Both brands and buyers said they wanted a quality selected brand line up in a stimulating ambience. Whilst the ground floor with its areas for different sectors of ready-to-wear will remain virtually unchanged, there will be big changes to the gallery levels which currently house footwear and accessories. With their input, we are working on creating ‘trends’ or ‘stories’ so buyers can visualise complementary products as you would do in a boutique or independent shop.”

Driscoll further added that over 700 retailers had been canvassed and they wanted even more information into consumer insights, trends and catwalks. “We have to continue to innovate with new collections and new brands as buyers have told us over and again that they ‘want products that stimulate and feel special.'”  Although the new branding for these trend areas has yet to be decided further news should follow soon.
Forward dates are 9-11 February 2014.
